We may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to our services, policies, security requirements, or applicable laws.
Updated terms will be published on the official DeepVerse website. The date of the latest revision will be displayed at the beginning of this document.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice of material changes and obtain any necessary consent. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance only where legally permitted.
If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should stop using the affected services.

Please do not share passwords, authentication tokens, or other sensitive information when requesting support.
2. Software and End User Terms
2.1 Scope
This section applies to software, configuration files, scripts, integrations, and other downloadable components created, commissioned, or distributed by DeepVerse.
Third-party software used to access our services remains subject to its own licence agreements and terms. These Terms do not replace or override those agreements.
2.2 Ownership and Licensing
Unless expressly stated otherwise, original content created by DeepVerse remains the intellectual property of its respective owner.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of DeepVerse branding, original website content, custom scripts, or other protected materials to users.
OpenOMSI, OMSI 2, third-party modifications, maps, vehicles, textures, and other community-created content may belong to their respective developers or rights holders. Their use and redistribution are subject to the relevant licences and permissions.
2.3 Restrictions on Use
You must not:
- Decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer DeepVerse-developed software except where permitted by applicable law.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls, permissions, or security measures.
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities to gain unauthorised access, disrupt services, or obtain an unfair advantage.
- Distribute malicious software, harmful scripts, or unauthorised modifications intended to compromise our services.
- Redistribute DeepVerse-owned software or content in violation of its applicable licence or the rights of its owner.
- Use DeepVerse services to advertise or distribute malicious, fraudulent, or prohibited content.
- Impersonate DeepVerse staff, misrepresent your authority, or falsely claim official affiliation with the project.
- Interfere with the operation, stability, availability, or security of our services.
Nothing in this section prohibits activities expressly authorised by DeepVerse or rights that cannot legally be restricted.
2.4 Third-Party Software
DeepVerse may rely on third-party applications, libraries, hosting providers, game software, and community modifications.
We do not claim ownership of third-party software or intellectual property. Users must comply with the relevant third-party terms and licences when accessing or using those products.
DeepVerse cannot guarantee the continued availability, compatibility, or functionality of third-party software and services.
3. DeepVerse Website
3.1 Website Purpose
The DeepVerse website provides information about our project, dedicated servers, available maps, server status, joining instructions, community announcements, and other related information.
Website features may change over time as the project develops.
3.2 Access and Acceptable Use
You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to website accounts, administrative areas, databases, or hosting infrastructure.
- Probe, scan, or test website security in a manner that could damage systems or affect other users without prior written authorisation.
- Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or extract website data in a manner that violates applicable law, third-party rights, or reasonable technical restrictions.
- Interfere with website performance or availability.
- Upload or transmit malicious files, spam, fraudulent material, or unlawful content.
- Use the website to impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship with DeepVerse.
We may introduce reasonable access restrictions to protect the website and its users.
3.3 Website Availability
We aim to keep the website accessible and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Maintenance, technical failures, hosting issues, security incidents, updates, or third-party outages may temporarily affect access.
Where reasonably practical, we will communicate significant planned maintenance or service interruptions through our official community channels.
3.4 Security Vulnerabilities
If you discover a potential security vulnerability affecting DeepVerse, please report it privately to the administration team through an official contact channel.
Do not exploit the vulnerability, access other users' data, modify or delete information, disrupt services, or publicly disclose sensitive technical details before the issue can be assessed.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected security incidents and take appropriate action where necessary.
4. OpenOMSI Dedicated Servers
4.1 Server Access
DeepVerse operates dedicated OpenOMSI multiplayer servers intended to provide a shared bus simulation experience.
Server access may be provided through server listings, connection codes, addresses, or other joining methods published by DeepVerse.
Server names, maps, connection details, player limits, timetables, and other settings may change as the project develops.
We do not guarantee that any particular server, map, vehicle, or feature will always be available.
4.2 Server Rules
All players must comply with the applicable DeepVerse server rules and any reasonable instructions issued by authorised staff.
Players must not:
- Deliberately disrupt other players' experience.
- Intentionally obstruct gameplay, damage the stability of the server, or repeatedly interfere with normal operations.
- Use exploits or unauthorised tools to gain an unfair advantage.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or target other community members.
- Impersonate staff or interfere with moderation.
- Deliberately crash, overload, or attempt to compromise the server.
- Circumvent a valid server restriction or ban without authorisation.
Additional rules may apply to specific maps, events, vehicles, or server configurations.
4.3 Maps, Vehicles, and Content Rotation
DeepVerse may rotate maps and other server content to provide variety and accommodate community preferences.
Map availability, rotation schedules, vehicles, timetables, and related settings may be changed, paused, or removed at the discretion of the administration team.
We may consider community feedback when making these decisions, but individual map requests or poll results do not guarantee that a particular map will be added or retained.
Third-party maps, vehicles, modifications, and other content remain subject to their respective licences and permissions.
4.4 Fair Use and Server Performance
Users must not intentionally place excessive or unreasonable demands on DeepVerse infrastructure.
Automated requests, integrations, scripts, and other interactions with server services must operate responsibly and must not negatively affect server performance or availability.
We may introduce rate limits, access restrictions, or other technical measures to protect the stability of our services.
4.5 Server Availability and Maintenance
Although DeepVerse aims to provide reliable server access, including its advertised 24/7 service where applicable, uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.
Servers may be unavailable because of maintenance, restarts, updates, hosting problems, network outages, software faults, or other circumstances beyond our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to restore affected services when practical.
5. APIs and Automated Access
5.1 API Purpose
DeepVerse may provide APIs, status endpoints, server information, or other interfaces to support its website, server integrations, bots, and community tools.
Availability and functionality may vary between services.
5.2 Permitted Access
Where an API or interface is made available for public use, reasonable use is permitted in accordance with its published documentation and any applicable restrictions.
Users and third-party developers must not:
- Send excessive requests that impair service performance.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access restrictions.
- Use APIs to collect personal information without a lawful basis.
- Attempt to exploit API vulnerabilities or obtain unauthorised data.
- Misrepresent API responses or falsely claim that a third-party service is officially endorsed by DeepVerse.
We may restrict or revoke API access where reasonably necessary to protect service stability, security, privacy, or the rights of others.
5.3 Security Testing
Security testing of DeepVerse APIs, websites, or infrastructure requires prior written authorisation from DeepVerse.
If you identify a vulnerability, report it privately and provide enough information for us to investigate safely.
Unauthorised testing that disrupts services, accesses protected information, or compromises systems may result in access restrictions and further action where appropriate.
6. Discord and Community Services
6.1 Community Conduct
The DeepVerse Discord server and other official community spaces exist to support communication, announcements, assistance, and community participation.
Members are expected to behave respectfully and comply with the published community rules.
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse.
- Hate speech or discriminatory conduct.
- Spam, scams, malicious links, or unauthorised advertising.
- Impersonation of staff, developers, or other members.
- Sharing private or confidential information without appropriate authorisation.
- Deliberately disrupting discussions, support channels, or community events.
- Evading moderation actions or using alternate accounts to circumvent restrictions.
6.2 Moderation and Enforcement
Authorised staff may investigate reported incidents and take proportionate action where community rules or these Terms have been breached.
Depending on the circumstances, actions may include warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, kicks, mutes, suspensions, or permanent bans.
Serious incidents may result in immediate action where necessary to protect members or services.
Moderation decisions may take account of available evidence, the seriousness of the incident, previous relevant behaviour, and the risk of further disruption.
6.3 Appeals and Complaints
Members who believe a moderation decision was incorrect may submit an appeal through the official contact methods published by DeepVerse.
Appeals should be respectful, factual, and supported by relevant information where available.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a decision will be reversed. DeepVerse may decline to reconsider matters where an appeal is abusive, repetitive, or lacks relevant new information.
6.4 Staff Authority
Staff are expected to exercise their responsibilities fairly and in accordance with DeepVerse policies.
Users must not impersonate staff, falsify staff instructions, or attempt to gain unauthorised privileges.
Concerns about staff conduct should be raised privately with the appropriate administration or management contact.
7. Reports, Evidence, and Moderation Records
7.1 User Reports
When submitting a report, you should provide accurate information and only include material that is relevant to the incident.
Knowingly submitting fabricated evidence, making malicious reports, or deliberately misleading staff may result in moderation action.
7.2 Evidence Handling
Where reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, enforce rules, resolve disputes, or protect our services, DeepVerse may review and retain relevant information submitted through reports or made available through its systems.
This may include screenshots, chat messages, recordings, server logs, timestamps, and relevant technical information, subject to applicable law and our privacy practices.
By submitting evidence, you authorise DeepVerse to use, store, and share that material internally to the extent reasonably necessary for moderation, security, appeals, and related legitimate purposes.
You should ensure that you have the necessary rights or permissions to submit the material.
7.3 Privacy and Retention
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and any applicable DeepVerse privacy notice.
We will retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to legal obligations, security requirements, and legitimate record-keeping needs.
Access to moderation records should be limited to authorised individuals who need them for their responsibilities.
8. Intellectual Property and Branding
8.1 DeepVerse Materials
The DeepVerse name, logo, original branding, website design, and original project materials may be protected by intellectual property laws.
You must not use these materials in a way that falsely suggests official endorsement, misrepresents your relationship with DeepVerse, or infringes the rights of their owners.
8.2 Community Contributions
By submitting suggestions, feedback, or other contributions, you permit DeepVerse to review and use them for project-related purposes where necessary, without transferring ownership of your original intellectual property.
Any broader licence or transfer of rights must be separately agreed where required.
8.3 Third-Party Intellectual Property
Third-party names, logos, vehicles, maps, software, and other materials belong to their respective rights holders.
Their appearance within DeepVerse services does not imply ownership by DeepVerse or an endorsement by the relevant rights holder.
Users must respect all applicable intellectual property rights and licence conditions.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
9.1 Services Provided As Available
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DeepVerse services are provided on an "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device, software version, modification, or configuration.
9.2 No Guarantee of Continued Access
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any service where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, operational, legal, or community management reasons.
Where practical, we will provide notice of significant changes.
9.3 Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DeepVerse and its operators will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use our services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including applicable liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
9.4 Third-Party Services
DeepVerse is not responsible for the independent operation, policies, availability, or decisions of third-party services.
Users access third-party services at their own discretion and remain subject to the relevant providers' terms.
10. Termination and Restrictions
10.1 Restricting Access
DeepVerse may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to its services where there is a reasonable basis to do so, including:
- Breaches of these Terms or applicable community rules.
- Abuse of server resources or security vulnerabilities.
- Fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activity.
- Repeated disruption of the community or services.
- Legal, security, or operational requirements.
Where appropriate and practical, we may provide an explanation or an opportunity to appeal.
10.2 Ending Your Use
You may stop using DeepVerse services at any time.
If you wish to request deletion of personal information or account-related data held by DeepVerse, contact us through our official channels. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any legitimate retention requirements.
11. Governing Law and General Provisions
11.1 Applicable Law
These Terms are subject to applicable laws and regulations. Where a governing law or jurisdiction needs to be specified, it will be identified in the official version of these Terms, taking account of the applicable legal requirements.
Nothing in this section removes mandatory rights or protections available under the law that applies to you.
11.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
11.3 No Waiver
A failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not automatically constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
11.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with applicable server rules, community guidelines, privacy notices, and other policies expressly incorporated into them, govern your use of the relevant DeepVerse services.
Where different policies conflict, applicable law takes precedence, and the relevant provisions should be interpreted consistently wherever possible.
